We have established a strong track record in the design and delivery of healthcare-led developments, spanning nursing homes, primary care facilities, clinical and diagnostic centres, and other specialist care and support accommodation. Our healthcare schemes are developed in close collaboration with the HSE, experienced operators and institutional investors, ensuring each design reflects best-in-class standards and meets the operational, clinical and regulatory expectations of key stakeholders across the sector.

We place particular emphasis on operational efficiency and flexibility, designing facilities that support high standards of care while remaining practical and economical to operate, and with extensive experience navigating the planning and design requirements specific to healthcare.

Whitebox has developed a portfolio of three fully consented, shovel-ready nursing home sites, located in Nenagh, Portlaoise, and Mullingar, based on a generic repeat design model.

Each scheme is designed to deliver a 90-bed residential care facility, comprising single ensuite bedrooms throughout and arranged over three storeys. The design includes a dedicated memory care unit, alongside high-quality communal, clinical, and support spaces, ensuring alignment with modern care standards and operational requirements.

This model has undergone extensive design development and review in collaboration with the HSE, experienced operators, and institutional investors, ensuring the product reflects best-in-class standards and meets the expectations of key stakeholders across the sector.
